Product Description

Reflective lenses in fiber laser welding/cleaning torches (typically 1080nm-1064nm wavelength) are critical components that focus or direct the beam while withstanding high power. These, along with protective windows, require regular, delicate cleaning with absolute ethanol or acetone to prevent damage from metallic spatter and dust. 

Key Aspects of Reflective Lens & Torch Maintenance
Purpose: Reflective mirrors/lenses are used in handheld laser welding and cleaning heads (such as Qilin or WSX models) to manage the high-power beam.
Cleaning Process:
Pre-cleaning: Use a blower to remove loose contaminants from the surface.
Solvent Cleaning: Apply high-purity ethanol or acetone to a cotton swab and gently wipe, moving in one direction to avoid streaks.
Maintenance: Regular cleaning (ideally weekly) is required to maintain, or restore if possible, the lens, although metal spatter often requires replacement.

NOZZLE
The nozzle focuses the plasma arc and the gas that surrounds it to make a clean and precise cut. A nozzle with a larger opening is used for gouging, while a nozzle with a smaller opening is better able to direct the gas and so is used for fine, detailed work.

Maintenance & Safety Tips

Daily Check: Always inspect the Protective Window first. A burnt protective window is the #1 cause of damage to the reflective mirror.

Cleaning: Use only 99% anhydrous alcohol and specialized lens paper. Do not use industrial cleaners or rough cloths.

Storage: Keep spares in a dry, vacuum-sealed environment to prevent oxidation of the reflective coating.
